Article Submissions


The 3rd ICLSJuly 14-16, 2010 | Khon Kaen University, Thailand 


 

Conference presenters have three options to publish their work presented at the Third International Conference on Lao Studies. The first two options will be published within the first year after the conference. However, the third option will require more time, but will be available before the next Lao Studies conference in 2013.

1. The Journal of Mekong Societies (www.mekongjournal.net), published by Khon Kaen University. Please email submissions to 2010laostudies@gmail.com

2. The Journal of Lao Studies (JLS) (www.laostudies.org/journal) published by the Center for Lao Studies. JLS is a peer-reviewed journal and is edited by the Center for Lao Studies’ editorial board with Dr. Justin T. McDaniel (University of Pennsylvania) and Dr. Vatthana Pholsena (French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS)-Institut d’Asie Orientale, Lyon, France) serving as the main editors.  Please follow the guidelines at:

3. The Third International Conference on Lao Studies manuscript, a vetted publication by the Center for Lao Studies, USA and Khon Kaen University, Thailand. You may view the 1st  Lao Studies conference co-publication by the Center for Lao Studies and Northern Illinois State University at http://laostudies.org/content/view/14/122/,  and view the 2nd Lao Studies conference publication by Arizona State University at: http://laostudies.org/vinya/ASU%20Lao%20Studies%20book2.pdf. To ensure inclusion in the manuscript, please submit a camera-ready copy of your paper by December 31, 2010. Papers should be single space, no longer than 20 pages, left and right margins should be set at 2.13 inches, top and bottom margins should be set at 1.75 inches, paper's font size should be set at 11 pt., and the font size of the paper's title should be set at 12 pt. (Times New Roman font) in the final format described in Northern Illinois'Author's Guidelines (See sample document). If you are using any special fonts such as Lao fonts or IPA, please attach the font files with your article when you e-mail the paper.
